Nasim Salehi (she/her) is an Iranian-Canadian emerging artist, residing and creating in the city of Toronto, Ontario.
She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at OCAD University and is currently pursuing her passion as a graduate student in the Interdisciplinary Master's in Art, Media & Design program at the same institution.
Nasim specializes in mixed media, performance, and video art, using these mediums to delve into thought-provoking themes such as identity, war, immigration, and embodiment.
Her works serve as a bridge, connecting people and inspiring empathy, inviting viewers to embark on a collective journey of self-discovery and shared human experience.
They offer a profound glimpse into the mental and emotional landscape of individuals grappling with chronic illness.
Through her art, she reminds us that art is a universal language that surpasses linguistic and geographical barriers.
Nasim tries to capture the experiences of those living with chronic illness and steps into a world where art transcends boundaries and touches the depths of the human spirit.
